Text Goes Off Screen - Wavelink, Produce Pro
Hey everyone,
I've been having this issue with my MC9190s and MC92N0s for awhile now and I still haven't figured it out.
Basically we run using Produce Pro and the text seems to be running off the screen. I'm not allowed to take the simple route of just enabling the horizontal scroll.
Here's what going on:
As you can see, the text cuts off at 2. There is more after this. Look below: (All I did to get it all to display for this picture is take the text down to 11 rather than having it at 13, however its far to small.)
It doesn't just change the login screen, it happens all through the software. It's super hard for them to do their job when this is happening. Any ideas?

hello everyone, i have been searching the forums and im sorry if this has already been answered, but i must ask again.
We have a Fleet of about 1000 Zebra MC40 Android Devices.
We had a 3rd party vendor use stage now to image the devices and install a android application on the device.
We finally needed to upgrade that application to a newer version, so we packaged the apk and pushed it out and the upgrade went great..
Unfortunately the software was extremely unstable and we had to back out.
We disabled the profile that we built for a small test group of devices and then tried to push back out the older version but it would not install.
Im guessing because the new version that was on the device is 5.4 and the old version is 5.0
Based on what i read online android by default doesn't allow a unattended down grade.
we had to go back and re image said devices but i would like to know if anyone has ran into this and if they have a potential solution in case we run into it again.

5250 velocity use enter as Reset
Hello Team
We start a new project on one existing customer, who using previously some Zebra MC91 under WCE, with telnet CE
Now we change to MC92 android, with lastest version of velocity, using the standard interface (green menu)
I have just a little problem with the Reset key. When you press a bad fonction key, the session is lock until a reset was send by client.
How to have this function working again, or maybe disable the "reset required" like in TelnetCE?

How to give a field Exit at a specific field?
I got the request form our users that they want to use as little buttons as possible as they are scanning. We have a screen where there are two barcode fields that need to be scanned. Now the scanner is configured that it is able to scan a code, give a field exit and then scan another barcode and give another field exit. Then it needs to display information that corresponds with those two bar-codes but right now they have to press Enter (which has the field exit command under it) to get that information displayed. Is it possible to configure it as such that if that field is selected it automatically gives another field exit? Or perhaps that that specific field is given a field exit after the two fields are filled so that the information is displayed.

Adding control function to the end of a scan
I have a input field where no matter the input the user has to have an interaction with the screen. We would like to eliminate that interaction, if the scan results in an error the user will need to scan the next bar code, if the scan results in an information screen the user will always interact by pressing {Ctrl-A} which is programmed into a button on screen. {Ctrl-A} will also return the user from the displayed error message.
What I am attempting is to add a {Ctrl-A} at the end of a scan on a specific field using a script.
The script that seemed most fitting from the library was HexTerm, thinking that i could use the Hex code for A (01) to cause the Ctrl-A event. In the parameters field i have tried ^A, 01, 0001, {Ctrl-A}, 41, and 61. none of these generated the desired effect.
Is there a better script to be using?
I tried ScanAppend with the same results.

after the installation of Avalanche 6.2 (SQL 2014 (SQL user: DB creator role) ) the Enterprise service does not work.
In the log of the Enterprise server I see the following error:

TE SSH login with GSW UTS Saved Sessions
Hello,
We're using WaveLink TE on MC92N0As with a GSW UTS server. We're populating the user name and password fields under SSH Settings so that the users aren't prompted for the logon credentials to the server. Once the user successfully connects to the server, they are prompted for their SAP credentials. However, we're utilizing the Saved Session feature with GSW. Because of this, if the user terminates the session from within TE, then connects again, TE isn't prompted by the server for the SSH credentials. As a result, TE is populating the SAP fields with the GSW credentials as it's the first user and password fields that it encounters.
The only workaround I've found so far is to terminate the Saved Session from the GSW server but obviously this isn't satisfactory. Does anyone know of a way to prevent TE from populating the credential fields if it's a Saved Session that's being launched?

Enabler for x86 Android (Panasonic FZ-A2)
I have loaded the current WLAC_UNI_ANDROID_6_1_0_127.apk onto a Panasonic FZ-A2 Android device that I believe has an x86 processor.
It works but when Synching with Avalanche any .APK app downloads are not automatically installed - you have to pull down the screen notification to allow it to install and allow access to various parts of the system etc. The .APK is then installed (i.e. Velocity)
Are there any plans to release an x86 Enabler for Android, or if not is there any workaround to disable the notification and auto-install?

Upgrading to Velocity 2.0 - MC92NO (Android kitkat)
Recently purchased some new MC92NO's with Andoid OS. These came preloaded with Velocity 1.2.100.16211.cc5a3fd. I have purchased licenses for ver 2.0 and every time I install, it automatically reverts back to the preloaded version. Help!

Unable to connect via telnet VT220 to host using WavelinkTE and Velocity on MC92N0 with Android
When trying to connect to an host the application stops and presents in dialog box error: Unfortunately, Terminal Emulation has stopped. In Velocity i get exactly the same, only shows: Unfortunately, Velocity has stopped.
I am able to connect using TN3270 or TN5250 emulation to an other host.
Only alternative telnet emulator that works is Glink (competitor's product)
But my warehouse WMS is the host i need to connect to.
This has never been an problem before on WindowsCE devices in MC9xxxx series of Symbol (later Motorola, now Zebra) with Wavelink software for over 20 years now.
Since Windows is or will go end of life for these type of devices, i need an working solution on Android based scanners.
Tested on MC92N0 (Kitkat 4.4.4) and also on an demo Zebra TC8000 (Kitkat 4.4.3) provided by my supplier but got exact same result/error.
I already made an support ticket here with Ivanti, and with Zebra support, without any succes to date.
Who knows maybe here reads this, and has the same problem, and even better, someone who has an solution or at least suggestions.
I've used:
WavelinkTE v2.0.18.4977 (newest to date)
Velocity 1.0 / 1.2 / 2.0 ( 2.0 is newest to date)

In Telnet CE FN F9 and F7 no funktion

we have change from Motorola to Zebra Warkabout pro 4.
We use telnet ce 7.3 and we need the F7 and F9 Button.
If i press the Button, no function with CTRL with blue FN no reaction.
so i have do from a other forum,edit the emulationparameters.i must press the 7 button 1sek to press F7.
it‘s work but it is not the best solution.
i want use the F7 With the blue FN Button,what can i do?

IPAD Pro mit Bluetooth Tastatur Entertaste funktioniert nicht
Guten Morgen zusammen,
ich hätte eine Frage bezüglich einer Entertaste in der Wavelink TE for iOS App. Beim eintragen der Login Daten in die AS400, ist die Enter Taste ohne funktion und nach dem Drücken der Taste springt das Eingabefeld immer nur ein Feld nach unten.
Die Einstellung (Enter Taste umkehren damit die Bestätigung funktioniert.) habe ich eingestellt aber leider ohne erfolg. Gibt es da noch andere möglichkeiten die Entertaste zu programmieren ?
